Then we had the 24th of July. Paul and I spent it separately. I went to Boise, Idaho to see my awesome Aunt Jana and Uncle Mikey and Uncle Brent and Aunt Jeri with my parents, Becky, Tami and Tanner. It was a lot of fun to see them. We usually only get to see them for funerals so it was fun to see them on a happy note this time! Paul went to St.Anthony, Idaho to hike up the Teton's with his dad and some of his siblings and nieces and nephews. He had a blast as well!
Then the first weekend in August we had our first encounter with 911! Just a simple run in, but still freaky :) Kinsley was playing with some magnetic number toys on my parent's fridge and got her finger stuck in the hole of the #9! We didn't notice it was stuck until her finger was swollen over it to where we couldn't get it off no matter what we tried. We even tried cutting it off, but her finger was so swollen that we couldn't do it without cutting her poor finger. She was in so much pain, I felt so bad for her. We had to choose whether to take her to the doctor's and pay outrageous amounts of money or call 911 and have them do it for free :) So we called 911 and they were there in a matter of minutes :) The situation had them stumped, after a few minutes of brain storming they decided to wrap her poor little thumb up as tightly as they could with dental floss and then put lubricant on it and just twist and pull until it came off. Thankfully we had Tami to hold Kinsley for us, cuz Paul and I had to sit in the back room, it was a lot to take having to hear your poor baby in so much pain. They were able to get it off though! But her poor thumb was red, purple, and super sore for a few days afterwards. Thanks 911 for saving our babies thumb ;)
Then the hiking and camping adventures began! Paul came up with the idea to go hike up the hike called Timpinookee or some crazy name like that :) We called it the Timp hike! Lol. It was a hard, but fun hike. Adam, Matt, Judd, Becky, Paul, and I all went during the day one Saturday. We started off all pumped and ready to face this 16 mile hike (both ways) and after about an hour realized we started down the wrong trail!! So we got in about 3 miles round trip of a "bonus hike" NOT FUN! So Matt, Becky, and I all lost steam about 1/3 way up the right trail and turned around :) Fortunately we had two cars so we left the other mountain goats to have at it! LOL. It was a HARD hike. We were all very sore for a few days afterwards, but a very good experience and lots of fun with the family!
Paul, Judd, Tanner, Kelsi, Andrew, and Aaron all did the same hike again at Midnight just a week or so ago! CRAZY PEOPLE! lol.
The second week in August we had the annual Timpson Campout down in Heber at the Lodgepoll Campground. I was only able to go one night because of Kinsley, but it was still a good time and fun to get to know Paul's family a little bit better.
The next weekend we went up to St.Anthony, Idaho to spend the weekend with Paul's sister and nephew and nieces. It was a blast! On Friday, Mandi, Adam, Paul, and I floated down the Snake River, it was super shallow so it was more of a walk down the river lol but still fun! Then Saturday all of us floated down the Warm River and that was a BLAST! Cold, and long, but super fun!! My mom kept Kinsley that weekend so it was a nice little weekend "date" with Paul.
The next weekend Paul's siblings and parents all went up to their Aunt Janette's cabin. It was the first time I've ever been with all of his siblings for more than like 5 minutes. It was a lot of fun. His family is very outspoken so I had a lot of good laughs listening to the things they had to argue and rant and rave about :)
This last weekend was Labor Day weekend and Saturday my family went to the Farmer's Market for the first time and it was a good experience, would have been better without the kids in strollers, but it was still fun and lots of yummy food!! We then went home and bbq's some PaPa Murphy's pizza! It was tasty. Poor Kins had the stomach flu so that was a little bit of a damper, but once she fell asleep we convinced my good old Poppa to buy Guitar Hero World Tour and we all jammed about! It was SOOO much fun!! We even got my dad to finally play it and he seemed to get the hang of it an enjoy it and we got my mom to sing and play the drums :) Thanks dad!! It was a blast! We got to hang out with some friends from Denver Friday and Sunday so that was way fun too! I got hit with a horrible case of the stomach flu Sunday evening and laid in bed from 6pm until 7am Tuesday morning (minus the every 20 minutes to the bathroom) but by Wednesday I was feeling almost back to normal and today I'm back to myself :)
It's been a hectic busy summer, but we got to have the boys more than half the time so it's been way fun. They started school in August! I can't believe how old they are! Logan's in 2nd Grade and Nathan and Parker just started full day Kindergarten! It's crazy! They are so big, and so smart! We haven't seen them since they started school 3 weeks ago so it will be really good to see them tomorrow! Kinsley is just being her cute self, growing and learning new things every day. She is so big now and so much fun. Much like her brother's she is SUPER cute and super smart and a blast to have around!!
So there you have it, my summer in a nutshell :) The smallest one I could find lol :)
